Chrysler Hall Theater

Since its grand opening in 1972, Chrysler Hall has served as the premiere performing arts center of Hampton Roads. Resident companies include Broadway Across America: Norfolk – Hampton Roads exclusive presenter of touring Broadway productions; the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, Norfolk Forum, the Virginia Arts Festival, and the Virginia Ballet.  Chrysler Hall also hosts a wide range of contemporary concerts, family theatre and comedy events.


The performing arts center of the Scope complex, Chrysler Hall is handsomely appointed for distinctive theater and concert events. Home to the Virginia Symphony and the Norfolk Forum, Chrysler Hall also hosts the popular Broadway at Chrysler Hall.

Seating 2,500 in the orchestra, dress circle, and balcony, Chrysler Hall is well suited to a multitude of events. Its main lobby and two-level grand hall are perfectly suited to host weddings, receptions, and other formal events, and can easily accommodate any number of set-ups.

The lot entrance is located on East Bute Street.

• MacArthur Center North Garage
Located at 500 City Hall Avenue beside Nordstroms.

• Monticello Lot
Located on the corner of Monticello Avenue and Charlotte Street and across the street from the Scope Garage.

• Monticello Avenue Garage
Located on the corner of Monticello Avenue and Freemason Street, the garage entrance is on Monticello Avenue.

Accessible Seating:

Tickets for individuals with disabilities may be purchased, subject to availability, by calling the Scope Arena Box Office at (757) 664-6980, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 10:00 am and 5:30 pm.  Disabled seating is reserved for the exclusive use of individuals with disabilities and their guests and the purchase or use of these seating locations by non-disabled individuals is strictly prohibited and can result in ejection and/or forfeiture of ticket price.

If the individual with a disability cannot attend an event for which he/she has purchased tickets, call the Disabled Services Department prior to the event taking place for further instructions.

Wheelchair Escorts:
Patrons with mobility impairments who do not have access to a wheelchair may request a wheelchair to transport the individual to their seat, free of charge. Please be aware that our personnel will not remain with you during the event, nor will they allow you to remain in the wheelchair for the duration of the event.

Interpreted Performances:
We are pleased to provide signed performances for the deaf and hard of hearing for select events. Services are not guaranteed for every event; however, we will make every effort to accommodate each request with appropriate advance notice.
