The Schuster Center educates and enriches lives by providing a world-class facility for the best in local, national and international performing artists. Dayton Opera and the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra call the Schuster Center home, and it also showcases the latest Broadway blockbusters. Additionally, a variety of local performing arts treasures, such as the Dayton Ballet, will also make use of the facilities.

The Schuster Center prides itself on the careful planning that went into making this facility fully accessible for all patrons and performers.

**Seating for people who use wheelchairs is available on all levels of the Mead Theatre.
**The stage, orchestra pit and all backstage areas are handicap accessible for performers with disabilities.
**Each of the entrances to the Schuster Center—located on Main St., Second St. and Ludlow St.—are handicap accessible.
**Most aisle seats in Mead Theatre have swing-away arms for ease of accessibility.
**The box office, coat check and security desk at the stage door are all handicap accessible.

Policies:

To ensure an enjoyable experience for yourself and others, please observe the following policies when visiting the Schuster Center.

Cellular Phones, Pagers, Alarm Watches:

As a courtesy to the performers and other patrons, please turn off or silence all cellular phones, pagers and watch alarms prior to the performance. If you require paging services, please check your pager or cellular phone and register your seat location with the house manager upon arrival at the theatre. Emergency phone messages can also be received during performances by leaving your name and seat location with the house manager or Ticket Center.

Latecomers:
For the consideration of our patrons, we will not seat anyone in his/her regular seat while a performance is in progress. Latecomers and patrons who leave and then return for any reason during a performance will be seated on a seat-available basis in the late-seating area.

Photography and Recording:

The use of recording equipment or the taking of photographs during performances is strictly prohibited, unless otherwise noted.

Smoking:

The Schuster Center is a smoke-free building.

Food and Drink:

Food and drinks other than bottled water are not allowed in the theatre.

Children’s Policies:
Victoria Theatre Association Broadway Series and Dayton Opera: Children under six will not be admitted unless otherwise advertised. Also, some productions may be inappropriate for children under 13 years of age.

Dayton Ballet: All children, regardless of age, require a ticket to attend Dayton Ballet performances. Dayton Ballet generally discourages bringing children under the age of three to performances.

Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra: Bringing children under the age of three to performances is discouraged.
